Trails Series (WIP) also a rant

I watch a lot of YouTube. I saw a video about the best RPG series. In this video I saw the Trails Series. It seemed daunting. A few months later I saw a video about a remake to Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter.

I was in the middle of an Y’s kick. I finished Nordics, Monstrum, and VIII. After trying to convince myself to play Celceta, I downloaded a version of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Remake on the 7 seas. It was a sloow burn. It didn’t catch me right away. Estelle was annoying. I moved on.

In the process of trying to move on, I ended up getting the Nintendo Switch 2. I loved the hardware. I was obsessed. I finished any many games as I could on the new Hardware.

I ended up getting a gift card for my birthday in September. I had 60ish dollars to spend and saw Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Remake on the eShop. It wasn’t on sale. It was a game I knew was highly praised, and I can’t accept not liking games RPG afficianados like.

So I bought it. I dug in.

I loved it.

The ending left me wanting so much more.

I googled when the 2nd remake was going to be released.

Fall 2026.

I couldn’t wait.

So I went onto the eShop.

All of the Trails games weren’t available.

I checked Steam.

All of them were available.

All of them were on sale.

I impulsively bought all of the games.

I proceed to play Second Chapter.

Then Third Chapter.

Then Trails from Zero.

Then Trails to Azure.

2025 ended.

2026 started.

I played Trails of Cold Steel.

YouTube

It is now the 9th of January.

I start to see video about the Demo of Trails Beyond the Horizon.

All of these videos are from people who either haven’t played all of the series, or they’ve only played the remake.

I’m too invested now. I can’t accept half-ass review from people who aren’t invested.

I finished Cold Steel, and started Cold Steel 2.

At this point I don’t think I can respect any review or insight from people who don’t understand Trails.

If you haven’t played from the beginning, I don’t care what you have to say. I’m only halfway through, and I’m too invested to care about an opinion from a passerby.

That’s all.

That’s my opinion.
